A new sister of mine, friendship forged by the meeting of hearts, minds and souls, an artist brought to me by another sister, has honored our time this past Rosh Chodesh by writing about it. Please check out this POWERFUL verse written by Melissa! It made me shiver, and I was there!
Happy New Year to all my family, friends and random readers! I hope that 2013 has been gentler to you than it has been to me, although, in spite of the tumult around me, I am faring well. I will get into a bit more detail in later posts. Suffice it to say I am living a bit of a country song right now, but since I am a fan of country music, I know that as long as I keep a hopping fiddle tune in my head and a dance in my step, I'll be golden. As you can see, I changed the picture in the header. For years I have been wanting the idyllic cottage/cabin/farmhouse somewhere in some woods. It doesn't seem like that is going to happen all too soon and so I have decided to put up a picture of my village, the place I serve. ReplyDeleteMonday night for me represented a wish of my inner~most self, an experience I've always wanted to have, something I've been seeking, praying for, hoping for, doubting would ever happen, feeling sad and mad because it wasn't happening, imagining I couldn't be happy or successful without it, until finally I decided that I could live joyfully if I never experienced it. I realized that I didn't need it because God always provides us with what we need. If it wasn't here, God was saying I didn't need it. But YAY, happy dance, it happened!!!! It feels like the fulfillment of a promise God made to my spirit when I was born.
Ya know, right now, I am wondering where the three of us will go in the future, the things we will do, create, experience, discover, open in ourselves, share with each other and the world, and how many lives we will touch...the possibilities are infinite and I'm really excited.
